CareBand History
In December of 2014, Adam Sobol had a conversation with his father, Dr. Sobol (a board-certified, nationally recognized geriatrician) about using emerging technology to help people living with dementia stay safe.
Adam did not know much about dementia or Alzheimer’s so he approached the opportunity open-minded and realized that there was a significant need to help people living with dementia stay safe and out of the hospital as well as to provide peace of mind to caregivers.
The idea for CareBand was born.
The CareBand team combines over 30 years of expertise in low power wireless embedded technologies, cybersecurity, machine learning, and healthcare.
